The Purpose:
The main purpose of conducting this research was to get to know about the Artificial Intelligence and how well it works, i tried both speech to text and text to speech and it worked really well, i tried changing accents but with accent it was not to accurate as it changed some words but it is really amazing to see that how i can talk to google and get the whole sentence in a text and i also tried typing in some basic sentences and getting them converted in to different languages and different accents. It worked well in noisy environment as well.
How well it works in noisy environments (recognition).
I turned my fan on but it worked fine for me except for one word.
• How well it works with different accents (recognition).
It works really well with different accents as well as it was really easy for it to pickup what i was saying.
• How well it copes with multiple speakers simultaneously (recognition).
I tested it on my laptop and on my phone and it worked fine for me.
• How well it deals with ambiguous spellings (recognition).
It did really well because it guesses with the sentence i guess and it gets it correct almost every time.
• How well you can understand it without reading along (synthesis).
It was pretty clear to understand so no difficulties for me to understand.
• How quickly it can communicate and still be intelligible (synthesis).
I guess in milliseconds because the response was too quick and it turns them to text or to speech in no time.
• Which voice is considered most realistic (synthesis). Try a Turing test strategy.
I tried different English accents and all of them worked good for me and i had no problems with any of them.
• Does adding an accent to synthesized speech affect comprehension?
Yes, sometimes when the word is pronounced differently in other accent.
